剛剛在 Yahoo奇摩新聞 看到一則 路透社( Reuters ) 有關雪豹 ( snow leopard ) 的報導: 喀什米爾瀕臨絕種的雪豹將受到印度政府的特別保護, 這段新聞讓我想起以前在念書時, 搜尋台灣雲豹相關報導的那段日子。在我印象中, 台灣雲豹在野外被發現的紀錄已經是幾十年前的事了, 因此, 應該已經算野外絕跡！剛剛在 Rruters 網站中用 leopard 搜尋這則新聞, 很奇怪竟然搜尋不到, 最後倒是在 Yahoo 搜尋到兩則新聞, 一則是稍早前有關巴基斯坦保育人士用衛星追蹤項圈來收集雪豹的生態資料, Yahoo News: Satellite to track elusive Pakistani snow leopards (Nov 28, 2006), 至於喀什米爾的保育計畫的原文新聞在Yahoo News: Kashmir's snow leopards to get extra protection (Dec 1, 2006)。
